Welcome to your first day of High School! The next four years are going to be a great adventure. I am excited to meet you all and start our journey together this year. This should be good!.
This class is World Cultures and Geography. The nice thing about this class is that we will be using a lot of digital technology. We will be examining the culture and geography of the world and people around us. This will provide some excellent foundations for your future social studies courses throughout high school, and beyond.
Today we will be spending our time on logistics of the course and the class. If you get lost or have any questions, make sure that you ask! I can only help you if you are proactive in helping yourself!
You are going to get a lot of information and paperwork sent your way in the next few days. If you do not yet have a planner, I highly recommend that you get one. The Bank has some for sale. Where you get it is not as important as that you use it. A lot of our coursework will have due dates beyond the next class meeting but in order to complete the assignment, you will need to work on it every day. Having a planner is a great tool to help you stay organized and on top of your work.
